Upgrading the Professional series – further developed for professionals

With display, intuitive, repair-friendly and AFIR-ready

At MENNEKES, we are constantly further developing our products. This includes the innovative upgrade of our Professional product family for semi-public and public charging. Ranging from our single wallbox, double wallbox to the charging column – the new Professional charging stations are equipped with a 3.5-inch display and have been technically optimised. That makes the charging systems more intuitive and convenient to use as well as much easier to repair. In addition, the Professional family is fully AFIR-compliant and can therefore be used not only for commercial charging but also for publicly accessible charging. Production of the new Professional devices will start at the beginning of Q3 2026 (AMEDIO® Professional) and Q4 2026 (AMTRON® Professional & AMTRON® Professional Twincharge).

Colour display – the highlight of the upgrade

The 3.5-inch display of the new Professional devices offers a well thought-out, intuitive user interface. The display brightness automatically adjusts to the ambient brightness and chargers receive clear, understandable instructions on how to operate the charging station. In addition, they see all relevant information at a glance before, during and after charging: charging point marking, price information, dynamic QR code for authorisation, charging status, current charging power, charged energy and charging time.

More insight

Users always receive clear instructions and information about the charging process. In addition, the dynamic QR codes for authorization are a plus in security, as they protect against manipulation by third parties than static QR stickers.

More comfort

The socket variants of the AMEDIO® Professional charging stations now rely on a proven swivel flap design. Charging cables can thus be connected intuitively and barrier-free via 1-hand operation.

More transparency

With AMEDIO® Professional, the meters are now located higher up in the device. This makes it even more convenient to read and check the meter readings or the amount of electricity charged.

Easier repair

Thanks to internal optimizations, the new Professional devices are even easier to repair. One example: The new charging controller of the AMEDIO® Professional charging station is mounted on a DIN rail and is therefore much easier to reach than in the previous model – without filigree work behind the component.

Increased operator safety

All devices in the revised Professional series are ISO-15118 compliant and thus already meet the new AFIR requirements. For example, we have already considered the possible introduction of dynamic QR codes. As an operator of charging infrastructure, you will therefore always be on the safe side.

More customization options

The previous Professional charging stations have already scored points with their great potential for visual individualisation. Thanks to the new display, even more will be possible in the future: Operators can, for example, display their own logo on the display – a guaranteed eye-catcher.
