Smart and sustainable solutions designed for a liveable future

“Empowering Mobility. Enabling Industry. Electrifying the Future.” – under this motto MENNEKES will present its new and expanded product solutions for industrial plugs and connectors as well as electromobility at the “Light + Building” trade fair in Frankfurt am Main from March 8 to 13. The electrical engineering specialist from the Sauerland region can once again be found in hall 12.1, stands B90 and B91, showcasing a fresh, completely redesigned visual appearance.

MENNEKES is unveiling two exclusive highlights making their debut at the trade fair: In the field of industrial plugs and connectors, visitors can look forward to smart power distribution units for various industrial sectors and applications – combining safety, monitoring, and digitalization. In the field of electromobility the eMobility pioneer and inventor of the type 2 charging standard will present a new AFIR-compliant wallbox for home charging, already well prepared for the legal requirements coming into force in 2027. For industry and commerce MENNEKES will also introduce a comprehensive upgrade to its professional charging stations – featuring numerous practical innovations.

Smart power distribution units for industrial applications celebrate their premiere

New to the MENNEKES solution portfolio are smart power distribution units designed to support industrial digitalization. These products will be launched in 2026 and expand MENNEKES’ already extensive product range for diverse industries.

“The new devices help make power distribution more efficient and safer. Our customers will be able to experience all products and their advantages for different industries first-hand at the MENNEKES trade fair stand,” says Stephan Kamps, Managing Director and Head of the Industry business unit.

New Cepex receptacles, important extensions to the PowerTOP® Xtra family and the SCHUKO® range – and much more

For its existing product lines of industrial plugs and connectors MENNEKES is presenting key innovations at “Light + Building”: These include new Cepex receptacles, SCHUKO® devices in newly added IP54 and IP68 protection classes as well as extension cables in various lengths for PowerTOP® Xtra plugs and connectors.

Visitors can also look forward to practical mobile power distribution units with portable residual current protection devices (PRCD-S), designed especially for construction sites, along with a wide range of customized, industry-specific connector solutions.

Future-proof charging solution for private households

The new version of the AMTRON® 4You wallbox for home charging – available in May 2026 – offers all essential functions for smart and convenient charging at home: intelligent control options, convenient authorization and integration into energy management systems. Special focus is placed on app-based operation and convenient solar charging - two key features that make charging even more efficient and user-friendly.

“Our new AFIR-compliant home charging solution is already perfectly prepared for upcoming legal requirements – and is produced in Germany with CO₂ compensation,” explains Volker Lazzaro, Managing Director and Head of the eMobility business unit.

Professional family with new benefits for industry and commerce

The revised and expanded professional charging systems from MENNEKES offer electricians and users from industry and commerce even more intuitive user guidance and include numerous practical enhancements, which can be tested at the trade fair for the first time – especially in the area of calibration law.

Fast charging with MENNEKES and comprehensive service packages

In addition to its new and expanded AC charging solutions MENNEKES will give a preview of tomorrow’s fast-charging infrastructure at “Light + Building,” presenting for the first time a prototype of its DC fast-charging station currently under development. Also part of the program: comprehensive service packages for electrical trade businesses and B2B customers, including training and digital tools to simplify the implementation of eMobility projects.

By doing so, MENNEKES will showcase a holistic solution concept for electromobility that goes far beyond hardware - focusing equally on smart software solutions and broad knowledge transfer, for example on the topic of bidirectional charging.

“Power Festival” featuring the MENNEKES workshop stand

The well-known “Workshop area” will become part of the new “Power Festival” at the trade fair for the first time in 2026. MENNEKES traditionally has its own stand at the “Workshop area” and this year is no exception. There trainees and young electricians can try out the connection technologies of the PowerTOP® Xtra plugs and connectors. The “Workshop area” is located in the “Galleria” between halls 8 and 9, with MENNEKES at stand D06.
