New Leadership Team for the Industry Business Unit

For decades MENNEKES and its Industry Business Unit (industrial plug and sockets) have been known under the claim “Plugs for the world”. While the business units with a focus on electromobility have already evolved over recent years from pure product manufacturers into providers of integrated solutions, the Industry Business Unit is now following the same path. At “Light + Building” MENNEKES presented M.ONE for the first time – a smart IoT product linked to a wide range of digital offerings and services.
In response to the resulting increase in complexity, MENNEKES has announced a change in the management of its Industry Business Unit. In the future the business unit will be led by a dual leadership structure. Managing Director Volker Lazzaro will assume responsibility for product development and production within the Business Unit in addition to his current duties at the company. Benedikt Huxol, currently Head of Product Management, will become Head of the Business Unit Industry and will be responsible not only for product management but also for sales and market research going forward.
“We are very pleased to have been able to appoint the new leadership team from within our own ranks,” says Christopher Mennekes, Chief Executive Officer. Benedikt Huxol has been with MENNEKES for six years, including two years in a management role. “During this time, he has impressed us with his commitment, foresight and strategic expertise. Volker Lazzaro needs no introduction: for decades he has been a key pillar of the company’s leadership. I am very grateful to him for returning to the management of the Business Unit,” Christopher Mennekes continues.
He adds: “I am confident that, with this new dual leadership structure and a strong team behind it, we will continue to write many more successful and future oriented chapters in the story of our industrial plug and socket devices.”
The change in leadership of the Business Unit coincides with the mutually agreed departure of Stephan Kamps, who has left the company. “We would like to thank Stephan Kamps for the consistently pleasant and open collaboration and wish him all the very best for his professional and personal future,” says Christopher Mennekes.
The organizational realignment will take effect on 1 May 2026.
